Bring a blanket—you'll want to sit down in the afternoon and use it for warmth once the sun goes down. Also, don't miss the Indian food stand in the restaurant area—the naan and curry is something locals crave all year long. Finally, make sure to check out the side stages between shows to discover new acts.
Founded in 1991 and entering its 23rd season, the Jazz Aspen Snowmass Labor Day Festival is an open air, dance-oriented extravaganza of music, in Snowmass Village’s Town Park, Aug. 30 through Sept. 1, 2013. Spectacular mountain views surround the festival, which draws more than 10,000 people per day.
Jason Mraz, Keith Urban and Journey are set to headline the festival. Other highlights include Little Big Town, Train, Churchill and Grace Potter & The Nocturnals

The festival includes an extensive selection of food and beverage vendors, crafts and a kid’s corner, full of activities for the young festival-goer, including face painting and games. The big screen allows the entire family to enjoy the shows from the JAS Village without the hustle and bustle of the main field crowd.
A limited number of three-day passes are available for $180. Single-day tickets cost $79. Tickets can be purchased by calling 866-JAS-TIXX, online or at the Belly Up box office.
