Winter 2012 is over, at least for most of us, which means that it's time to review the thousands of resort reviews posted by our community and determine this year's Visitors' Choice Awards Winners.
Over the course of the winter, the OnTheSnow community collectively posts thousands of resort reviews. Users rank resorts on a scale of 1-5 stars in five categories: Family, Park and Pipe, All Mountain Terrain, Nightlife and Overall Excellence.
As a user-generated award, the Visitors' Choice Awards represent the collective opinion of you, our readers, on how well resorts across North America delivered on the experience you expected.
This week we are announcing the five overall, North American winners in each of those categories. Regional winners in each category wil be announced later this spring.
The Overall Winners are:

Best Overall Terrain: Whistler/Blackcomb, British Columbia
